Janelle James is a New York/Los Angeles based comedian that can currently be seen on the ABC series, ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, where she plays the principal at one of the worst public schools in the country. Her next comedy special will be released on Netflix’s THE STANDUPS. Prior to her hour special, James released a half-hour special THE COMEDY LINE UP on Netflix. She has also appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers. In what has been an eventful series of events/years, Janelle toured with Chris Rock on his Total Blackout tour, Amy Schumer’s “Growing” tour, then she took over the reigns of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival (now The Janelle James Comedy Festival) in Brooklyn. After wrapping a second season as a staff writer on Black Monday on Showtime, Janelle is currently a writer and voice actor on the animated show, Central Park on Apple TV.
